Court Reporter Jobs
Almost all of the comments I have received to my court reporting blog have been about jobs, both in the court reporting industry and in general. Since jobs, period, is the main concern of everybody, including myself, I will continue for a while to just concentrate on jobs, in general, and jobs in court reporting firms.
All of my blogs about court reporting jobs have focused on the prospects for court reporting students, court reporters interviewing for jobs and seasoned court reporters keeping their jobs and getting more work or even interviewing with different court reporting firms.
Due to recent layoffs at major court reporting firms, what about the stability of jobs of the employees of court reporting firms?
Most court reporting firms have experienced decreases in business. How is your employer handling the loss of revenue and how will it affect your position and what about all those resumes that are coming across your employer’s desk each day?
How secure is your position and what would it mean if you lost your job today?
I sincerely urge each of you to open your eyes to the possibility of being replaced. There is a lot of competition for your desk each day.
So I think my focus for a while, for both the court reporting firm employees, court reporters and employees, in general, will be in how to keep your jobs.
