Court Reporting Jobs

My court reporting blog has focused for a while on how to get a court reporter job from the resume, interview and deposition stages.

It has become increasingly apparent to me that most people have no idea how to keep a job, what makes one person a more valued employee than another. How many employees actually think about their level of performance rather than concentrating on what everybody around them is or isn’t doing. What is work ethic all about.

Looking back at my work career which started very early, I now realize that no matter what lowly function I was doing, I always tried to do it well. It had to do with my personal level of functioning.

I think the first place to start with improving one’s work ethic is to think honestly about how you are performing your job. Can you do better? Perhaps not. Do you have suggestions how other jobs can be performed better? I bet your boss would be more than happy to hear some solutions to problems instead of just problems themselves.

I am going to incorporate a new philosophy in my firm, don’t come to me with a problem unless you have a solution. I think it would well serve us all to follow this simple guideline.
